The Full Playtest - It's Here!

Hey everyone!
We’re very excited to announce that Crystalpunk’s full playtest is finally here! The 67-page PDF is packed with every character and gameplay option that will appear in the final Campaign Guide, with the exception of backgrounds and monsters. There’s a bunch of cool options inside and we really hope you enjoy trying some of them out.
How do I get the PDF?
If you're a backer of any reward tier or have pre-ordered the PDF of the Campaign Guide, you can download the full playtest PDF by logging into your BackerKit account and clicking on the Crystalpunk project in your list of projects. There, you can click on “Get Your Digital Downloads'' to download the playtest PDF. You will also receive an email that’ll contain a link to access the playtest.
If you haven’t made a BackerKit account yet, you can create one using the same email you used on Kickstarter. Once it's all set up and activated, you should see Crystalpunk in the project list and be able to download the PDF by following the steps above.
If you test some of the options found in the document and have some feedback for us, be sure to head over to bit.ly/crystal-feedback. We'd love to know what you think!
New Artists
We’re also excited to announce two new artists who are working with us on the artwork for the Campaign Guide: Ozan Pulat and Selin Aydin. Here’s an awesome new piece by Ozan that features one of our new races: a nephilim soulshaper. You'll also find some more new pieces in the playtest PDF.

What We’ve Been Up To

Hey everyone!
Firstly, a quick survey update - over 90% of you have completed your survey! Thank you! We’ll be keeping them open until we get closer to our delivery date. If you didn’t receive your survey, you can request it again at https://crystalpunk.backerkit.com. We’ll be contacting Godlike tier backers to discuss the character interview reward sometime this week.
It’s been over a month since our last update, and we’ve been working on a bunch of different things. We’ve been refining our worldbuilding, getting stuck into the writing, looking at layout and graphic options and overall preparing for the work we’ve got ahead of us. We’ve started up a home game as well to test the new options ourselves, which is going pretty well (aside from the fact that at the end of our last session, the entire party was plummeting to their death from above the clouds in the city. Wish them luck, they’ll need it!). We have also talked with a couple of new artists and are starting to get the art train rolling, so we should have some more illustrations to share with you in the next update.
The main thing we’ve been working on, however, is the big playtest document. It should be out in our next update, sometime in early June. We’re wanting this to be a full experience, so we're including every character and gameplay option that is going to be in the final book, except for backgrounds and monsters. It's proving to be quite the endeavour - the soulshaper class especially has been difficult to nail flavour wise and has already gone through two entirely different iterations. Regardless, we’re working hard to get everything done and when it's released it should be everything you need to play a few games. The playtest document will be available to backers of all reward tiers as well as anyone who preordered at least the PDF of the Campaign Guide. Here’s everything it’ll contain:
- 9 Races
- 12 Subclasses
- 2 Classes (the Evolutionist and the Soulshaper)
- 25 Spells
- Equipment (Including Weapons, Armor, Adventuring Gear, and a few Magic Items)
- A couple of Feats & Fighting Styles
- Vehicles
- & all of the Crystalpunk Rules
Lastly, we went ahead and updated our logos, what does everyone think of them?

BackerKit Surveys & Stretch Goal Poll Results!

Hey everyone!
Thanks again to all of you awesome backers for supporting us! We're just about ready to send out our BackerKit surveys, and you should see them in your inbox soon.
What we've done just now is released a smoke test, sending surveys to about ~100 backers to see if there are any errors or issues in our setup. We'll monitor these and make any changes if necessary. Either way, we'll be sending out the rest of the surveys later today, so keep an eye on your inbox! On the survey, you'll be able to enter your shipping information and as well as select any additional add-ons.
After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts. If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://crystalpunk.backerkit.com/
KEY DATES FOR SURVEYS (Estimates)
- Locking Orders: Early December 2021
- Charging Cards: Mid December 2021 (for add-ons and preorders)

Stretch Goal Poll Results
The results are in! More Races won the first stretch goal poll, and Five More Subclasses won the second! Even more races and a subclass for each of the base classes will now be included in the Campaign Guide.
More Spells and an Expanded Beastiary also got pretty close... so we've decided to reshuffle our projected page counts a bit to include some extra spells and enemies for you guys as well. We hope you'll enjoy them!
We're going to leave the poll open for a bit longer to let everyone have their say, but we've called the results now just to allow us to start developing the new content as soon as we can.

Final Stretch Goal Unlocked!! It's time to vote again!

Woo! We did it!
With less than 3 hours left on the campaign and an amazing final push, we just unlocked our final stretch goal! Absolutely amazing! Thank you all so much.
You now once again have the chance to vote for what new content we add to the Campaign Guide. Below you'll find the link to vote for the final stretch goal. You'll also find the vote for the previous stretch goal in there as well - while the result from the previous poll was pretty clear, we've moved to ranked-choice voting and wanted to see if that made a difference.

What an amazing campaign! Thanks to all of you 2171 incredible backers, we raised 438% of our funding goal - over AU $131k! With that, every single one of our stretch goals was unlocked!
We truly couldn't have done this without you - we're so happy to be able to fully realise the world of Crystalpunk, and we're thrilled that so many of are excited about the world we've built. We're eagerly looking forward to our playtest period and hearing all of the crazy stories from your games. Thank you all so much!

What's Next?
BackerKit Surveys: Once Kickstarter finishes processing payments, we'll be sending out our BackerKit surveys. You can expect these in about 2-4 weeks. This is where we'll collect your shipping details along with any add-ons. We'll keep the surveys open throughout the year until we get closer to our delivery date.
Playtesting: Sometime in the coming months, we'll be releasing a big playtest document with a bunch of the character options and game mechanics from the Campaign Guide. This will be released via BackerKit for all pledge levels. We'll have more updates on this soon, so stay tuned!
